10 Things City Fitness Loves

1) Race Street Pier

This pier offers some #views. Look out over the Delaware River and enjoy the view of the Ben Franklin bridge. The pier is picnic friendly and dog-friendly so think about catching some rays and relaxing here.

2) Yoga

One of City Fitness’ favorite ways to wind down, relax and get your stretch on. City Fitness offers multiple yoga classes from beginner to beyond. Don’t forget to change up your workouts and add in something new to your routine.

3) Dilworth Plaza

Take a walk and explore your city again. Dilworth Plaza was renovated to re-establish William Penn’s original Center Square as a gathering place for all Philadelphians. When winter comes, don’t forget to take advantage of the ice skating rink as well.

4) Franklin and Whitman

A local business with a great cause! Every product is named after a street or area in Philadelphia, and 5% of all sales go to dog rescue organizations. You love your pup and your skin, right? So try them out to support your city and give back at the same time.

5) Impromptu Workouts

No time for the gym? Grab a friend and make all of Philadelphia your personal gym. Go for a run, find some steps or a bench to workout on and all you need is your bodyweight. City Fitness loves getting creative with exercise.

6) Reading Terminal Market

More food, please! It sure is easy to give in to temptation when you’re at Reading Terminal Market. There is food as far as the eye can see! City Fitness loves a ‘treat yourself’ moment on occasion and what better way to do it than at the market.

7) Independence Beer Garden

If you haven’t been to this beer garden that overlooks the Liberty Bell and Independence National Historic Park then you’re missing out! Grab a beer and maybe a bite to eat while hanging out near some of America’s best history.

8) Healthy Snacks

Sometimes it’s hard to keep your snacking healthy. But it’s one of City Fitness’ favorite challenges. Get creative with what you keep in your pocket. Check out Whole Foods or Snap Kitchen for some awesome snacking options.

9) Art Museum/Rocky Steps

It’s not hard to love this Philadelphia attraction. The gorgeous view from the top of the steps is hard to beat! You can even create your own Rocky workout on the famous steps while breathing in a little fresh air.

10) Stripp’d Juice

Is there anything better than grabbing a healthy juice or snack on your way out of a grueling workout at the Fishtown location? The fresh, local produce and ingredients have been grown responsibly and makes you feel even better about grabbing a juice to go. Try a smoothie bowl or even a savory bite. City Fitness loves it all!
