Your parents were right – breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Getting up and having a hearty breakfast with vitamins, fiber and protein will help you kick start your day and feel full until lunch. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I love setting aside some time to cook something fresh or meal prep breakfast at night. Many people don’t have much time in the morning, so I whipped together a delicious breakfast smoothie that will help keep you going!

Wake-Me-Up Breakfast Smoothie (Serves 1)

Ingredients

  • ½ frozen banana
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 1 tsp ground flaxseed
  • 2 shot espresso
  • ¾ cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Directions
Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend and enjoy!
